Jewellery Care Guide

Follow our Jewellery Care Guide below to keep your SWJ items looking brand new and eye-catching in order to last you many years of happiness and sparkle. Our jewellery is very delicate and needs to be handled gently and with care

Storing your SWJ Pieces
We suggest wrapping plated jewellery items in soft tissue before storing or placing them into a jewellery pouch to avoid scratching-
One Jewellery Item Per Pouch is Ideal

Store jewellery made from different metals separately-
The different metals react when stored closely together causing tarnishing
Store In A Dry, Dark Place Away From Humidity -i.e. a jewellery box or drawer

Sterling Silver Care Guide
Sterling silver can unfortunately tarnish over time- the way you care for your Silver jewellery items will affect how long it stays shiny

DONT'S of Silver Jewellery:
  • Do not swim, bathe, shower or wash dishes whilst wearing- please keep dry
  • Do not use harsh soaps or apply body creams or perfume whilst wearing
  • Do not wear in extremely humid climates or whilst steaming
  • Do not store silver jewellery together or with other metal types- the metals react with each another leading to early tarnishing

DO'S of Silver Jewellery:
  • Store items separately in a dry, cool & dark place, i.e. a drawer or jewellery cabinet
  • Wrap items separately in soft tissue or keep safe in the small complimentary jewellery pouch we supply with each purchase. One item per pouch is ideal
  • Clean with a Silver Polishing cloth or with any other soft material cloth
  • Use silver jewellery cleaning solution sparingly & only when necessary
  • If jewellery begins to tarnish beyond what at-home care can offer - please find a reputable local jeweller who can assist with more professional repair

Gold/ Rose Gold Plating Care Guide
Although the 14 carat gold plating we use is thick- scratching and tarnishing can occur. Rose Gold items are particularly susceptible to damage. Please ensure to follow these care guidelines to keep the gold and rose gold plating shiny and bright
